Our Roots

The roots of Impala Studios go back to the year 2009, when Impala Studios was founded by Frank List and Peter Schotvanger. Over the years, we have grown and evolved to eventually become a renowned independent global development studio. Our main focus is on creating, publishing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications that aim to streamline and enhance the everyday lives of our users worldwide. 

How we work

We believe great products come from great teams, not rigid structures. That is why we have organized ourselves into focused Studios, each responsible for a specific portfolio of apps.

Think of each Studio as a mini-company with its own goals, energy, and rhythm. They decide how to move forward, experiment, and grow their products. Around them, we have our Chapters, groups of people who share the same craft, like design, data, or marketing. Chapters connect everyone who loves the same kind of work, share learnings, and help each other get better. It is a setup that gives us the best of both worlds: focus and freedom, ownership and collaboration.

We work hybrid, that means from home, the office, and sometimes even from abroad. What matters most is that we deliver, grow, and take care of ourselves and each other. We trust people to know how they work best.
