About the role
Impala Studios is a hyper fast-growing, mobile tech company. We are looking for a BackEnd Developer to join the Development team.
You will join a team of innovative and creative IT professionals who invent, design, develop and release apps on multiple leading mobile platforms. Your main goal is to develop software for existing and new services and applications to realize company objectives.
We are looking for
- Higher education or equivalent ability.
- 3+ years development experience using Python, Docker and AWS (EC2, ECS, RDS).
- 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering (pipeline and infra/platform/lake building).
- Nice to have: experience with PHP, AWS CloudFormation, Lambda, AWS Redshift, or willing to learn on the job.
- Team player with great motivation to learn new skills and willingness to share knowledge.
- Proficiency in the English language, both written and spoken.
What you'll do
- Programming for product development.
- Working with product services, infrastructure, frameworks, and apps.
- Following the internal coding guidelines and carrying out code reviews.
- Providing personal input for the optimization of the product.
- Supporting and coaching interns in their field of technical knowledge.
- Building a data ecosystem and making it mature and reliable.
- Performing complex tasks independently.
- Identifying technical debt and communicating the consequences.
